After Bryant Park, Lincoln Center and Skylight Clarkson Square /Skylight Moynihan Station, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has found a new venue for the New-York Fashion Week. From now on, the bi-annual event will be held at Spring Studios (50 Varick Street). However, more and more designers are starting to choose their own venue. I personally think it's a good idea because it will enable them to be even more creative and have a better control of their budget.
From Thursday 8th to Wednesday 14th, February 2018 more than 70 designers including Philipp Plein, Adam Selman, Jason Wu, Chromat, Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet, Jeremy Scott, Kate Spade New York, Tanya Taylor, Naeem Khan, Brandon Maxwell, LaQuan Smith and Prabal Gurung presented their Fall/Winter ready-to-wear 2018 collections to the media, buyers, editors, influencers and the general public.
Spring is around the corner and a lot of New-Yorkers opted for pastel colors such as lilac, light blue, yellow and powder pink. Coordinated suits dominated this street style selection. I think it's going to be one of the biggest trends this year! You will also notice a lot of oversized coats, plaid blazers and vynil pants. As for accessories, socks with sandals, ankle sock boots, Chanel and Off-White thigh high boots were definitely the hottest trends spotted on the streets of NYC.
