As I mentioned it before, London Fashion Week and Hera Seoul Fashion Week are by far my top 2 fashion events. I personally think their style stands out from the pack. The bi-annual event was held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) from March 19th to 24th, 2018.
More than 90 designers such as Nohant, Han Chul Lee, Ordinary People, Kye, Munn, Beyond Closet, Lie Sang Bong, Dozoh, Mooyul Rick Rhe MinjuKim, Jung Myung Sook, Sami Jeon, and D-Antidote presented their combined men's and women's collections to the media, editors, buyers, celebrities and fashion students.
I have been following Hera Seoul Fashion Week for a couple of years now and I have noticed a change. People used to wear formal outfits, neutral colors and black from head to toe. That's not really the case anymore. If I had to describe Korean fashion in a few words I would say, daring, eclectic, edgy and colorful. They are not afraid of experimenting new trends. That's what makes it so interesting to me!
In this street style selection, you will see a lot of co-ords, trench coats, oversized blazers and tracksuits. As for accessories, you will find the usual chunky sneakers, ring belts, fanny packs and baker boy hats.
