How to style puffer jackets

Temperatues are dropping in Paris. It is time to bundle up and stay warm with this fall/winter wardrobe essential: the puffer jacket. It does not necessarily have to be black. I think everybody already has a black coat wether it is an ankle length coat, a bomber jacket or a faux fur coat. The puffer jacket comes in different shades such as red, lillac, yellow, beige, powder pink, gray, baby blue, orange, white and turquoise. Why not add a little touch of color to a neutral outfit.

If you are not into layering the puffer jacket is the perfect alternative for you. It is usually made of synthetic fibers which will keep you warm. Some people wear it with just a t-shirt underneath not even a sweater and let's not forget to mention that the puffer jacket is also ultra light and comes in different lengths.

You can dress it down with some sneakers and a pair of jeans or you can choose to dress it up with a midi skirt and high heels to balance the "bulky" aspect of the coat and create a more feminine silhouette. You can easily find an affordable puffer jacket at Zara, New Look, Urban Outfitters or H&M. If you are looking for a higher price point, high-end designers such as Fendi, Moncler, Aritzia and Canada Goose have created their own version of it.
