Jacquemus F/W 19 Ready-to-Wear Collection

Hello,

On the first day of Paris Fashion Week (February 25, 2019), Simon Porte Jacquemus presented his Fall/Winter collection to the fashion industry. Just to give you a little background, the 29 years old designer was born and raised in the South of France. He moved to Paris 10 years ago and created his brand: Jacquemus. The name came up pretty easily considering the fact that it's his mother's maiden name.

Now let's go back to the actual show. The set was grandly inspired by his childhood. He recreated a traditional village of Provence (Southeast of France). The French designer paid a lot of attention to details. You could see a bakery window display, a floral shop and fruit stalls. On "Place Jacquemus", you could also see colorfoul house facades, ceramic flower pots on a window ledge and drying clothes on balconies. The runway was the main artery of the village. He really brought a Mediterranean atmosphere to the show.

Jacquemus's "La Collectionneuse" collection is sophisticated, feminine and minimalist. It's a mix of neutral tones and vibrant colors. Monochromatic looks dominated the show. The collection mainly consists of oversized tailored suits, midi skirts, double-breasted blazer dresses, leather culottes, pantsuits and belted coats. All the models had slicked back hair and the makeup was very minimalist. It looked fresh and natural.

Simon Porte Jacquemus has incorporated a lot of accessory trends in his collection from hoop and asymmetrical earrings, knee high boots, thigh high boots to micro bags, wristband bags, belt bags and extremely oversized bags.

See below some of the best looks from Jacquemus Fall/Winter 2019 collection. I added the full video of the show at the very end of this post.
