Apart from the Big Four (New-York, London, Milan and Paris), there are more than a hundred fashion weeks around the world. Seoul fashion week is one of them. The bi-annual event was held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (281 Eulji-ro, Euljiro 7(chil)-ga, Jung-gu) from Tuesday, March 19, 2019 to Sunday, March 24, 2019.
Emerging and top Korean brands such as Moho, D-Antidote, PARTsPARTs, Moon Lee, Kye, Graphiste Man.G, Moon J, Navy Studio, Bourie, Maxxi J, Beyond Closet, Songzio, Minju Kim, Greedilous, Daily Mirror, Charm's, Münn and Tibaeg presented their latest Fall/Winter 2019 collections to fashion executives, buyers, personalities, bloggers, photographers and the media.
This year, most of the shows were broadcasted on Instagram Live. It's a good initiative because it's like having a "front row" access while being at the other end of the world. I love it.
This street style selection is quite diverse. It includes a lot of neon, oversized sweaters and blazers, suits, deconstructed dresses, cargo and wide leg pants. As for accessories, you will see many belt bags, fanny packs, Off-White and Gucci industrial belts, baker boy hats and tinted sunglasses.
Lastly, you will see lots of showgoers with unconventional and vibrant hair colors such as pink, yellow, blue, red and silver white. It's very common in South Korea especially in the entertainment industry. I almost forgot to mention the hair clip trend. It's definitely the "it accessory" of this selection. It's going to be everywhere this season.
