When I put together a look, I love mixing different styles and different fabrics. The easiest way to create a business casual ensemble is to mix a formal piece with a more casual one.
I have decided to go for a minimalist and monochromatic look for this photo shoot. I'm wearing a double breasted blazer with a plain oversized t-shirt (found in the men section) from Primark. I paired it with my ribbed biker shorts from Boohoo. They are part of my summer wardrobe basic. If you're not too comfortable in skirts, I highly recommend biker shorts. They're practical, flattering, affordable and very comfortable. The fabric is stretchy, thick and not see through at all. It's like wearing a second skin.
To complement the look, I added a pair of black and white Vans (Old Skool). I wear them all the time, it goes with literally everything. As for accessories, I'm wearing an ivory elephant necklace from H&M and a cowrie shell bracelet (made by my grandfather). To elevate a little bit this look, I chose to wear a faux leather tote bag from Forever 21 instead of my regular fanny pack.
