Create a tomboy look with thrifted pieces

Good afternoon,

Thrift shopping is like going on a treasure hunt. You never know what you’re going to find and that’s what makes it so exciting. I wanted to create a tomboy look but I didn’t have anything specific in mind. I went to a thrift store in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. As soon as I entered, I went straight to the men’s section and rapidly scanned the room. All I could see was this turquoise puffer vest. I tried it on and within five seconds, I knew I would buy it. The muscle tee shape instantly adds structure to the shoulder line. The vest has multiple pockets (five in total) that can hold all my daily essentials. It’s a size extra-large so I can easily add two or three layers underneath without feeling like the Michelin man. I couldn’t find a more practical jacket and it only cost me 3 euros.

After that, I went to another second-hand shop that is known for having good basics. That’s where I found this gray oversized sweater in perfect condition. I already know I'm going to wear it on repeat because it’s a neutral color that can be paired with anything. I bought it for 5 euros. I kept the look minimal with a pair of black mom jeans that cost me 10 euros.

I accessorized my look with a recycled cotton bag. It’s originally from Galeries Lafayette but I received it as a gift after a fashion show six years ago. It’s very practical, I use it as a grocery bag. Lastly, I’m wearing a pair of white chunky sneakers from Amazon (24 euros). They’re easy to style, comfortable and feel very lightweight on.
