Summer went by a blink of an eye. Now it's time to layer our favorite pieces for fall! That's honestly the only thing I like about this season. It has been raining almost everyday for the past three weeks. I'm just waiting for a sunny day to shoot some of my new looks. I can't wait to show you all the affordable vintage pieces that I found. In the meantime, I still wanted to write an article so today I'm going to talk bout one of the biggest trends of the season which is the sweater vest. You have probably already seen it on and off the runway. Think of it as a sleeveless knitted sweater that usually has a V-neckline. It's the extra layer that will keep you warm this fall/winter.

You can style it in many different ways. If you're going for a feminine look, consider styling it over a long sleeve midi dress. You can always accentuate your waist with a thin belt. If you choose to layer it over a button-down shirt, you can pair it with a pleated skirt or (faux) leather bermuda shorts. To elongate your legs and create some sort of illusion, you can spice things up with a pair of knee-high boots. However, if you don't feel like doing too much, you can layer the sweater vest over a turtleneck or even a hoodie. Then complement it with a baggy jeans and a pair of chunky sneakers such as Buffalos or Puma Pulsar. If you're looking for a functional and versatile sweater, you should definitely invest in it.
